How can I test a fantasy football draft strategy before draft day?
Fanademy's mock draft simulator lets you complete a snake draft from a chosen seat while varied computer drafters select from the same published player pool. It is designed to test how a roster plan survives different rooms, not to predict the exact order of your real draft.
How the method works

Computer drafters choose within the published projection tiers while balancing position need and roster legality.
Make your picks
At each user turn, compare the available pool against the roster you have built.
Review the result
Inspect the completed roster and repeat from the same or a different seat to test whether the plan is robust.
What it cannot tell you
- Computer drafters are scenarios, not replicas of your leaguemates, and a single run has no predictive status.
- Average draft position and room behaviour can change during draft season faster than the weekly projection publication.
- The simulator currently covers snake drafts; auction preparation has a separate tool.
Common questions
Does a mock draft predict my real fantasy draft?
- No. It is a rehearsal environment. The varied computer drafters create plausible pressure on a plan, but they do not know your leaguemates and the result should not be presented as a forecast of the real draft order.
What should I learn from repeating mock drafts?
- Look for plans that still produce a legal, balanced roster when the room takes players earlier or later than expected. Repeated failure at the same position is useful evidence that the plan depends on an unrealistic player falling.
