Jacob Saylors heads into the season as the Lions' No. 2 running back, with Dan Campbell saying he is "comfortable" with him in that role, per NBC ProFootballTalk. His path got clearer Monday when Isiah Pacheco landed on injured reserve, which Yahoo Sports NFL, Pro Football Rumors, NBC ProFootballTalk and Pride Of Detroit all reported will sideline Pacheco for at least the first four games. Pride Of Detroit ran a reader survey asking which Lions back will absorb the majority of Pacheco's snaps, so the split beyond Saylors remains unsettled in coverage.
