Taylen Green's rookie preseason debut with the Browns against New England drew attention: CBS Sports NFL's Zachary Pereles writes that the performance makes Cleveland's quarterback room more complicated, and Kelsey Russo's takeaways for the Browns highlighted Green showcasing his speed. The story then shifted to roster math. Offensive coordinator Todd Monken said he was happy with Green and fellow quarterback Dillon Gabriel but that the Browns can't keep everybody, and NBC ProFootballTalk reported he continued wrestling somewhat with their fates; he offered no resolution in Friday's press conferences alongside Green, KC Concepcion, and Gabriel. The question was settled on cutdown day: per NBC ProFootballTalk's Myles Simmons, the Browns will keep four quarterbacks and Green made the initial 53-man roster.
