It was a whirlwind roster week for Mark Gronowski. On August 30, both NBC ProFootballTalk and NFL Trade Rumors reported the Dolphins were waiving him, with NBC ProFootballTalk's Mike Florio noting the move came alongside the addition of quarterback Kyle McCord. A day later, the story reversed: NFL Trade Rumors and NBC ProFootballTalk both reported Gronowski re-signed with Miami's practice squad, keeping him in the organization despite the cut. Before all that, the Dolphins published a transcript of a Gronowski press conference from August 28, so he was speaking publicly as a roster player right up until the shuffle. He remains with the team, just on the practice squad.
